What makes Talking Philanthropy different?
The format of Talking Philanthropy, fosters problem-solving and encourages innovation and creative ideas. Speakers and attendees identify challenges and discuss solutions through talks, panels, and Q&A sessions. Talking Philanthropy provides an opportunity for participants to take time to think beyond the day-to-day of their work, reflect on the sector and how it impacts the world.
In previous years, Talking Philanthropy has focused on philanthropy in Asia, generational wealth transition, and women in philanthropy, mission, and leadership.
Forums without borders
In light of the pandemic and the implementation of travel restrictions and social distancing measures, 2021 was the first forum available virtually. We hosted speakers from 10 countries and online participants from 52 countries.
About Our Partners
We are delighted to have received the support of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for Talking Philanthropy 2021. We have partnered with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore and The University of Cambridge Judge Business School as co-hosts for Talking Philanthropy. As well, forum partners include The United Nations Foundation, Birdlife International, Vim & Vigour PR, and Billionaire Magazine.
“The Event was an eye-opener regarding nurturing genuine relationships with Donors in a Switched-on World”
